No Host Bazaar this Saturday and more craft fairs coming

Craft fairs, bazaars, auctions, gift galleries, and even theatre are happening allover the North Thompson Valley throughout November and December. It’s the season to buy Christmas presents, gifts, and those special items for your home or yourself.
After School and exercise programs starting at NTVIC

The North Thompson Volunteer and Information Centre’s (NTVIC) Licensed After School Program is back in full swing. The program runs from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Friday excluding stat holidays. The cost for this program is $4 per day and pre-registration and a copy of immunization records is required prior to attending.
2012 executive elected for area Riding Club

On Saturday, Nov. 19 the the Barriere and District Riding Club had their year end award and volunteer recognition potluck.
There was a great turn out and wonderful food dishes, including a lovely cake with the B&DRC logo donated by Joanne Petersen.
Summer Day Camp and Sports Camps
Starting on July 4,2011 NTVIC will be running a summer day camp for children 5 to 11yrs. Registration is required. Contact the Centre for more information.
Also back this year will be the summer sports camps. July 11 to 13 9am to 3 pm will be volleyball for grades 4 to 7 $30
Aug. 2 to 5th 9am to 3pm will be Basketball for grades 4 to 7 $30
Aug. 17 to 19 10am to 2pm will be sports skills for Kindies to grade 3 $20 NEW
Aug. 22 to 25 9am to 4pm will be Basketball for grade 7 to 12 $45
Interior Savings Moonlight Movie Night benefitting the North Thompson Volunteer and Information Centre.
NTVIC is partnering with Interior Savings Credit Union to raise funds for our programs.
Thursday August 18, 2011 starting at 6pm in Fadear Park at the Bandshell there will be a bbq dinner, family fun and games leading up to movie start time of approximately 8:30 pm (depending on darkness)
This years movie will be 'RIO' Come out and enjoy a great family event and support NTVIC and its programs.

After School Program
The NTVIC After School Program will run again for the 2011/2012 school year.
Will begin on Monday Sept.6, 2011 $4 per child. Before school Care is also available.
Space is limited to 24 per day and registration is required. Call the Centre for more details.
